1. UNV Programme:

a. Mr. Isfandyar Ali Khan
Mr. Isfandyar Khan is a National of Pakistan and joined the Lao Bar Association in August 2006 as a United Nations Volunteer Project Coordinator for UNDP's Enhancing Access to Justice through Lao Bar Association Project. His assignment is due to end on 31st December 2007.

Mr. Khan was Called to the Bar by The Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn, London. He has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Professional Legal Skills from The City University, London, a LLB (Hons.) Degree from The University of Hull, U.K, B.A from The Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He has worked at a Law Firm in Pakistan and has served with UN Agencies and Non-Governmental Organization before commencing his present assignment in Lao PDR.

b. Ms. Alecia Murray
Ms. Alecia Murray is an Australian lawyer and worked with the UNDP Project at Lao Bar Association between August 2005 and January 2006. She has experience working with a Judge of the Supreme Court of South Australia and was named Young Australian Lawyer of the Year in 2004.

2. AYAD VOLUNTEER Programme:

a. Ms. Janice Lim
Ms. Janice Lim is an Australian National and she joined Lao Bar Association as a Volunteer under the Australian Youth Ambassador Development (AYAD) Volunteer Program in March 2007 and is expected to stay for 1 year.

Ms. Lim is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Victorian Supreme Court. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Major in Political Science and Women's Studies) and Bachelor of Law from University of Melbourne, Australia. Her experience includes working for Law and Community Groups, Law Firm and Government.  

b. Ms. Clare Cunliffe
Ms. Clare Cunliffe served the Lao Bar Association as an AYAD Volunteer between March 2006 and February 2007.

Ms. Cunliffe has a Bachelor of Arts and Laws from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Before joining the Lao Bar Association, Ms. Clare Cunliffe had worked for Law Firm as a Paralegal, Articled Clerk and Lawyer. She also have volunteering experience at a Legal Centre in Australia. 

3. CBA Intern Programme:

a. Ms. Chioma Rachel Ume
Ms. Chioma Rachel Ume is a Canadian Lawyer and she joined Lao Bar Association as a CBA Intern in September 2007. She holds a Hon. B. ArtSci Degree from McMaster University, Canada and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from The University of Western Ontario, Canada.

Prior to joining the Lao Bar Association, Ms. Chioma worked in different capacities at Law Firm, University and community groups.

b. Ms. Rebecca Smyth
Ms. Rebecca Smyth joined the Lao Bar Association through the Canadian Bar Association's Intern Program. She worked as an Intern for six months between September 2006 and March 2007.

Ms. Smyth was accepted to the Bar of British Colombia as a Barrister and Solicitor. Prior to joining the Lao Bar Association she worked at a Law Firm in Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from University of British Columbia.

c. Ms. Julie Smith
Ms. Smith was the first Intern sponsored by the Canadian Bar Association at the Lao Bar Association and served at the same between September 2005 and March 2006.
Prior to joining the Lao Bar Association, Ms. Julie Smith had the experience of working as a Lawyer in Canada and had studied at Dalhousie and Trent Universities in Canada.
